Derrick Coleman played five seasons with the Nets.

The Brooklyn Nets have had some epic performances in the rebounding department throughout their history. Here, we show you the top five individual rebounding performances in the postseason for players donning the Nets jersey.

Derrick Coleman, 21 rebounds (1994 Eastern Conference First Round, Game 2)

Coleman co-leads the Nets in the category of most rebounds in a single postseason game, as he pulled down 21 boards when the Nets played the Knicks on the road in Game 2 of the first round of the 1994 playoffs. Coleman’s 21-board haul wasn’t quite enough at the end, however, as the Nets still lost the game, 90-81. Coleman finished with 15 points, 21 rebounds, three assists, three blocks and two steals.

Jayson Williams, 21 rebounds (1998 Eastern Conference First Round, Game 1)

Williams also had 21 rebounds in a single playoff contest, matching Coleman’s output four years later — also in the first round of a postseason. However, unlike Coleman, Williams grabbed the 21 boards coming off the bench, although he did log the second-most minutes of any New Jersey player in that 96-93 loss to the Bulls. Williams finished the game with eight points (4-9 FG, 0-2 FT), 21 boards and two assists.

Buck Williams, 18 rebounds (1984 Eastern Conference First Round, Game 4)

Williams grabbed 18 rebounds in a postseason game twice in his career, and he did it during the same playoff run with only a couple of days between the two performances. The first one occurred in Game 4 of the first round of the 1984 playoffs, when the Nets lost to the Philadelphia 76ers by a score of 110-102 on April 24. Williams finished that contest with a 16-point, 18-rebound double-double while also adding five turnovers and five fouls.

Buck Williams, 18 rebounds (1984 Eastern Conference Semifinals, Game 2)

Williams would repeat the 18-rebound haul seven days after doing it for the first time in his career. This time, it was in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Milwaukee Bucks on the road. Williams chipped in with 21 points, 18 rebounds (with 10 of them coming on the offensive glass), five assists, four steals and a block across 47 minutes. However, the Nets would ultimately lose by a 98-94 score and fall 4-2 in the series.

Jarrett Allen, 17 rebounds (2020 Eastern Conference First Round, Game 3)

Allen is no longer playing for the Nets, but his rebounding effort in Game 3 of the first round of the 2020 playoffs against the Toronto Raptors is one of the best performances on the glass in franchise history. Allen only scored four points and didn’t attempt a single shot throughout the game (4-4 FT), but he grabbed 17 boards while adding three assists, a steal and a block. The Nets would go on to lose the game by a score of 117-92.
