The Anuual Prime Minster’s XII clash between Australia and Papua New Guinea is set for a blockbuster weekend with men’s women’s and junior teams taking part in 2025.

Ashes Tourists Bradman Best, Ethan Strange and Keaon Koloamatangi will lead a youthful Australian side against their Kumuls counterparts featuring NRL stars Jack de Belin and Robert Derby.

The Men’s Prime Minister’s XIII side will be coached by new Kangaroos coach Kevin Walters, while the Women’s team will be led by Jillaroos coach Jess Skinner.

Walters is excited to coach a Men’s squad which includes a number of young stars that have lit up the NRL in season 2025.

“The squad has a really strong mix of experienced representative players and some of the best young talent that we saw showcased in the NRL this season,” Walters said.

“There is a lot of strike across the park with the likes of Ethan Strange, Jye Gray, Bradman Best and Jason Saab and some real power and mobility up front, led by Keaon Koloamatangi who is getting the opportunity to captain the side.

“I’m excited to get to work with the team this week and put on a great display in Port Moresby on Sunday.”

Skinner is excited to coach a youthful squad getting their first taste of representative footy against their Papua New Guinea counterparts.

“We have some players in this squad that have experienced this fixture previously and having them back in the team will be invaluable for some of the exciting young talent we’ve selected to get a taste of international Rugby League,” Skinner said.

“The players that are involved in this game will have the opportunity of a lifetime coming together to play and experience a country that has a passion for Rugby League like no other.“For the young players we have, it’s a chance to put their hand up for Jillaroos honours and I know that they are going to bring a lot of energy and excitement to this contest.”
