Port Adelaide has received Corey Durdin and a 2026 second round pick in a three-team deal with Carlton and Gold Coast.

Port Adelaide has secured Carlton’s Corey Durdin and a future second-round pick on day five of the Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period.

In a deal involving both Carlton and Gold Coast, Port Adelaide has given picks 29 and 67, and receives Carlton’s 2026 second-round draft pick. Gold Coast’s Ben Ainsworth also lands at the Blues as part of the completed trade.

Durdin was a second-round selection in the 2020 national draft, arriving at Carlton with pick 37 from Central District in the SANFL.

A handy small forward, the 23-year-old is known for his high work-rate, contest work and goal sense.

He received a Rising Star nomination in Round 9, 2022 where he collected 19 disposals, eight contested possessions, five score involvements and two goals.

In 2022, Durdin was awarded Carlton’s best young player, earning a consistent place in the side in his second season of AFL footy.

He played 16 games in 2025, and earned himself two mark of the year nominations.

Port Adelaide list manager Jason Cripps was pleased to complete the trade.

“This trade assists with our overall strategy of prioritising an increase in draft capital for the 2026 National Draft during this trade and draft period,” Cripps said.

“Corey had expressed his desire to return home to South Australia and we saw it as a great opportunity to add some depth to our forwards group.

“He is strong in the air and at ground level, and has a good balance of offence and defence in his game”

“We are looking forward to welcoming Corey to Alberton.”
