Australia has scored a convincing 65-42 victory over South Africa in the third and final netball Test at Adelaide Entertainment Centre.
The Diamonds won the opening two Tests against the Proteas and a strong start in Sunday’s encounter helped the world champions complete a 3-0 series result.
They led 20-11 at the first break and extended their advantage on the scoreboard to 39-20 at half-time.
The Proteas, though, refused to give up in the third quarter and were rewarded for their efforts when they outscored the Diamonds 12-10 in the term.
But the Diamonds had too much class in the final quarter to ice a comfortable win.
Sophie Garbin shot 29 goals from 31 attempts for the victors, while teammate Lucy Austin (18 from 22) was also prominent in attack.
Elmeré van der Berg led the scoring for the Proteas with 20 goals from 22 attempts.
The Diamonds will quickly turn their attention to the Constellation Cup, where they will face arch rivals New Zealand in four Tests.
The first Test will be played at Melbourne’s John Cain Arena on Friday night.
