Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Buds 4 may feature a redesigned appearance, according to leaked icon files discovered within the company’s One UI 8.5 firmware.

Android Authority reported finding an icon file named “list_ic_earbuds_buds4” within the system firmware, the same type Samsung uses to display earbuds in device connection menus, often revealing product designs before official launches.

The leaked images suggest the Galaxy Buds 4 will retain the stem-style design introduced with the Buds 3 but move away from the sharper, triangular form factor.

The new earbuds appear more streamlined with a less angular look compared to their predecessor.

Samsung has not confirmed a release date for the Galaxy Buds 4, though the leak indicates design development is well underway.

Given the Galaxy Buds 3 launched earlier in 2025, the successor may accompany Samsung’s next flagship devices, potentially alongside the Galaxy S26 lineup expected in early 2026.

For context, the current Galaxy Buds 3 feature 11mm speaker units, three microphones per earbud for audio reception and ambient sound analysis, and Galaxy AI integration including Interpreter functionality.

Each earbud contains a 48mAh battery, with a 515mAh battery in the charging case, delivering up to six hours of independent playback or 30 hours combined when active noise cancellation is disabled.

The Galaxy Buds 3 are currently priced at $299 in Australia.

Pricing for the Galaxy Buds 4 has not been announced.
