Danika Mason has topped off a relaxing European holiday by getting engaged to her football star beau, Liam Knight.
The Today sport presenter told her co-hosts the pair were enjoying a day trip in beautiful Sardinia, Italy, when Knight got down on one knee and surprised her.
“It was on the beach here in Sardinia, he did so well,” the 34-year-old smiled.

Danika joked the ring is a little too big, so to prevent losing it – she looks like she’s “flipping the bird” when she shows it to people on her middle finger.
But Liam shared more detail on the lead up to the special moment.
“I actually can’t remember what I said, I was pretty nervous, to be honest,” the 30-year-old admitted.
“I got on the knee and just blurted out what came to mind, I didn’t have a plan but I’m glad it’s done and we can enjoy our holiday.
“I can stop stressing about her finding the ring in the bag.”
