SYDNEY forward Jack Buller has got his trade wish to Collingwood.
Despite Sydney’s eagerness to keep the 24-year-old, Buller has landed at the Magpies, who have given up a future third-rounder for Buller and a future fourth.

Hailing from Western Australia, the 2023 mid-season draftee was offered a two-year deal to stay at the Swans, but instead expressed his desire to move to Melbourne to continue his career.
Buller struggled to break into Sydney’s side, playing just one game across his first two years at the club, but played the final nine games of the 2025 season under first-year coach Dean Cox, kicking 11 goals.
Collingwood targeted the tall to fill a gap after Brody Mihocek moved across town to Melbourne, leaving the Magpies forward line crying out for added height.
“Jack is a tall forward who has strong marking ability and is accurate in front of goals,” Collingwood general manager of list and talent strategy Justin Leppitsch said on Wednesday.
“For a tall player, Jack’s high pressure and competitive playing style were attractive attributes for us.
“At 24, Jack has a lot of football ahead of him and we look forward to seeing where he can take his football with the support of those inside our Club.”
While the Swans had tried to keep Buller in the harbour city, Sydney executive general manager AFL Football Leon Cameron thanked him for his time at the club.

“I’d like to thank Jack for his commitment to our program since he arrived in Sydney,” Cameron said.Â

“We wish Jack all the best for the next chapter of his football career.”
