One star wide receiver will definitely return in Week 7, while one definitely will not play.
CeeDee Lamb of the Dallas Cowboys will be active on Sunday against the Washington Commanders after missing the past three games with a high-ankle sprain.
After going through two limited practices this week, Lamb said he’s ready to play and will not need a long time to get back into the swing of things.
“I feel like I’m moving around, running around being me,” Lamb said, via ESPN. “Happy as can be obviously just believing in my ankle. Obviously, I feel like it’s back to where I needed it to be.”

Lamb, who suffered the injury in Week 3 against the Chicago Bears, said he could have come back last week but he gained more confidence with the extra week of rest.

“I feel like that’s why we took an extra week just to make sure that I had that comfort,” Lamb said. “Just to make sure that I had that same explosiveness, just to make sure that I had that same stability.”
Los Angeles Rams receiver Puka Nacua has been ruled out of their London matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Nacua will miss the game due to an ankle sprain suffered last week against the Baltimore Ravens. He left the game only to return later on, but was not much of a factor.

“He’s making good progress. I am very optimistic about hopefully having him ready after the bye,” Rams head coach Sean McVay said on Friday. “I think it’ll serve him well and I have confidence in our other receivers to be able to step up.”
The Rams will be on their bye next week before facing the New Orleans Saints on Nov. 2.

Other notable Week 7 injuries:
There will be a two-headed monster in Carolina as Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard is set to return against the Jets. Hubbard has missed the past two weeks with a calf injury, opening the door for Rico Dowdle to go off for 389 rushing yards and one touchdown. Dowdle is now fifth among running backs for most rushing yards in the NFL.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers look likely to get Mike Evans back this week, but they could be down a different wide receiver against the Detroit Lions. Rookie standout Emeka Egbuka has been dealing with a hamstring strain and missed practice this week. Along with Chris Godwin Jr. and running back Bucky Irving, Egbuka’s absence would be a big hit to the Tampa offense. The Ohio State product is fifth in the NFL with 469 receiving yards and tied for second-most touchdowns (5) among receivers.
Minnesota Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy (ankle) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles. He will not start, but head coach Kevin O’Connell said that McCarthy will serve as the emergency No. 3. Carson Wentz will be under center against his old team.
It’s looking like Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers will miss a fourth straight game as a knee injury has kept him out of practice. Head coach Pete Carroll said earlier this week that Bowers was making progress, but with a bye week next week, he might be better served with the additional rest. He is currently doubtful.
George Kittle is set to return for the San Francisco 49ers against the Atlanta Falcons after suffering a “full tear” of his hamstring in Week 1. Quarterback Brock Purdy, however, will remain out, but head coach Kyle Shanahan said he is “headed in the right direction” in dealing with his toe injury.

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. will play Sunday against the Green Bay Packers, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, who reported that Harrison has been cleared from the league’s concussion protocol.
As for quarterback Kyler Murray, he’s officially “questionable” with a foot injury, which has been reported as a mid-foot sprain. He suffered it in Week 5 against the Tennessee Titans, and it kept him out of a Week 6 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.
Jacoby Brissett filled in for Murray last week in Indy.

Wide receiver Quentin Johnston is off the Chargers’ injury report, after missing last week’s game against the Dolphins with a hamstring injury. But Los Angeles may still be without Joe Alt for Sunday’s game against the Colts: The offensive tackle is listed as doubtful with an ankle injury he suffered during Week 4k.

“I sent him home,” head coach Raheem Morris said Friday. “An excused absence. We are working through some things that are private with the young man, and we will get those things figured out.”
“This is between Ray-Ray, the organization and us… I wouldn’t say it is a disciplinary thing. More a football thing with something we have to get straightened out.”

Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon said on Friday that quarterback Kyler Murray will be given the 48 hours before they decided whether he will play. Murray has been dealing with a foot injury that kept him out of Week 6. He’s taken reps this week with the practice squad receivers while Jacoby Brissett has worked with the starters.
In other Arizona injury news, wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. shed his no-contact jersey after being in concussion protocol.
The Cardinals host the Packers on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET.

“This is the NFL. If you’re unsure of what is gonna happen, just wait, because something is gonna happen and you deal with it,” said head coach Brian Schottenheimer. “The biggest thing is just the concern for Trevon and that he’s OK, and it seems like he is.”
The 27-year-old Diggs has played six games this season for the Cowboys and recorded 18 total tackles.
