Hollywood star Glen Powell rocked a ‘double badge in’ during his Sky Sports appearance on the F1 grid ahead of the United States Grand Prix in TexasGlen Powell was lauded for his ‘double badge in’ on the F1 grid
Hollywood star Glen Powell had fans in stitches with his double badge in on the Formula 1 grid.
Ahead of the United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, Powell joined Martin Brundle on the grid for the start of his grid walk.
Powell wore a matching Stone Island sand coloured jacket and trousers, choosing style over comfort in the sweltering 28 degrees temperature. And he took every opportunity he could to get the badge in.
Fans took to social media to laud his efforts to the cause as his trousers also had a Stone Island badge on the outside of his left thigh. Some shots even caught the double badge in.
One user on X said: “Maximum “getting the badge in” from Glen Powell. Take a bow sir.” A second lauded: “Glen Powell with the double badge in.”

A third joked: “Glen Powell with f1 at 8 and a scrap with Millwall at 9. #getthebadgein.” Another added: “Glen Powell making sure he gets the badge in on the grid walk.” While a fifth praised: “Obsessed with Glen Powell getting the badge in on Sky Sports F1.”
Powell was being shown the art of the grid walk by Brundle as the former F1 racer explained the obstacles of F1 cars being wheeled to their starting spot that he has to handle on a regular basis
Brundle also talked Powell through the complexity of the back of an F1 car, using Oscar Piastri’s McLaren, that starts in P6, to explain.
The championship leader’s struggles from previous weeks have continued so far this weekend in Austin.

Piastri crashed in the opening corners of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix after qualifying in P9 and almost stalling on the grid. The Aussie then lost further ground to Max Verstappen and Lando Norris as he came fourth in Singapore last time out.
Verstappen took full advantage of a double McLaren DNF in Saturday’s sprint race when Piastri made contact with Norris, as well as Nico Hulkenberg and Fernando Alonso, seeing the latter also suffer race-ending damage.
The four-time world champion won the sprint to claw eight points back from Piastri, and then followed up by qualifying on pole for Sunday’s Grand Prix.
