Cut Collingwood tall Mason Cox has stated he would “love to come and play for another club” after leaving the Magpies after a decade in black and white.

Cox joins Tom Mitchell, Charlie Dean, Ashley Johnson, Finlay Macrae and Oleg Markov in being delisted by Collingwood since their preliminary final loss to Brisbane.

The list cuts add to the extensive off-season of change at Olympic Park, with Will Hoskin-Elliott (retired) and Brody Mihocek (Melbourne) also departing.

For Cox, the long-serving American’s time with the club came to a conclusion after 139 games and a premiership as a ruck-forward hybrid.

The 34-year-old remains keen on adding to his career games tally, telling Triple M Melbourne’s Mick in the Morning that he’s open to joining another club.

“Yeah, definitely,” Cox said when questioned on wanting to continue in the AFL.

“I think I definitely have more in me for sure. You just want to kind of finish out your career and have a good kind of [story] until the end, whenever it might be.

“I think I’ve got a lot left in me and a lot to give, and I’d love to come and play for another club and be valued, bring something and help younger people along, while hopefully playing myself.”

Cox could find a suitor via delisted free agency, via the draft mechanisms or as a Supplemental Selection Period acquisition over the off-season.

The 211cm talent played 10 games in 2025, including Collingwood’s two finals against the Crows and Lions.

Clubs in the mix to add experienced key position depth over the coming months include Fremantle, Richmond, Geelong and Carlton.
