Veteran prop Siosiua Taukeiaho is set to extend his NRL career, with reports indicating the Manly Sea Eagles are close to finalising a one-year contract extension that would see him remain at the club through the 2026 season.

The 33-year-old front-rower returned to the NRL this year after two seasons in the English Super League with the Catalans Dragons, joining Manly on a train-and-trial deal before earning a full-time contract.

Taukeiaho has since become a regular in the Sea Eagles’ forward rotation, featuring in 19 games in 2025 and adding valuable experience and toughness to Anthony Seibold’s pack.

It’s understood Taukeiaho has been negotiating his new deal personally following the retirement of his long-time manager in 2023.

After overcoming a series of injuries during his time in France, the Tongan international has found consistency again in the NRL — a key factor behind Manly’s desire to keep him on board for another year.

Sources suggest both parties are keen to finalise the extension soon, with an announcement expected in the coming weeks.

Having previously enjoyed success with the Sydney Roosters — where he won two premierships — Taukeiaho’s leadership and resilience have made him a steadying presence at Manly as the club looks to build a competitive forward pack heading into 2026.
