Members of the Ted Lasso cast hopped on stage to belt out the lyrics to their iconic theme song.

On the heels of Apple TV+ announcing that filming had begun on the fourth season of “Ted Lasso” in Kansas City, Missouri, Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple and Brendan Hunt joined Mumford & Sons on stage to celebrate.

The cast members surprised fans at the July 24 show in KC as they sang the show’s theme song, which frontman Marcus Mumford wrote and performed.

In videos posted online, you see Sudeikis, Waddingham, Temple and Hunt walking onstage as the band played the opening notes of the ‘Ted Lasso’ song. As the song picked up, you can see Waddingham and Temple jumping up and down and dancing while Sudeikis attempted to sing with the band. Waddingham also joined others at the microphone to show off her singing chops.

When the song ended, the stars gave Marcus a giant hug before Sudiekis took the mic to shout out his hometown. He thanked the members of the band, and the actors left the stage.

Per the streamer, Waddingham will reprise Rebecca Walton, Temple will reprise Keeley Jones and Jeremy Swift is returning as Leslie Higgins. Brett Goldstein and Hunt return as Roy Kent and Coach Beard, respectively. The new season will show the new challenges these characters face while coaching a women’s soccer team.

“Ted returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women’s football team. Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would,” the synopsis reads.

Previous seasons of Ted Lasso can be streamed on Apple TV+. A release date for the new release is still TBD.
