Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles have confirmed the signing of Kobe Hetherington on a four-year deal, securing the hard-working forward until the end of the 2029 NRL season.
The 26-year-old joins the Sea Eagles after playing a key role in the Brisbane Broncos’ 2025 premiership-winning campaign, bringing valuable experience and a premiership mentality to the Northern Beaches.
Since making his NRL debut in 2021, Hetherington has amassed 105 first-grade appearances for Brisbane, known for his relentless work ethic and defensive toughness through the middle of the field.
He is also the son of former Australian international Jason Hetherington, who was part of the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs’ 1995 premiership side, continuing a proud rugby league family legacy.
Manly’s forward depth had been tested following the departures of Toafofoa Sipley, Josh Aloiai, Jazz Tevaga, Gordon Chan Kum Tong, and Michael Chee Kam at the end of last season. The addition of Hetherington is seen as a major boost to the club’s engine room, offering both versatility and leadership.
Sea Eagles fans will be eager to see how Hetherington integrates into a forward pack that already includes the likes of Jake Trbojevic, Haumole Olakau’atu, and Taniela Paseka, as Manly look to climb further up the NRL ladder in 2026.
