Bodie Ryan and Jaime Uhr-Henry have put pen to paper on one-year contract extensions.
Emerging Hawthorn pair Bodie Ryan and Jaime Uhr-Henry have put pen to paper on one-year contract extensions.
The new deals ensure both Ryan and Uhr-Henry remain with the Hawks until the end of the 2026 season.
Bodie Ryan’s name rose to notoriety among the Hawthorn faithful just last month, after kicking the match-winning goal after the siren to send the Box Hill Hawks through to a Preliminary Final.
The 20-year-old defender has been developing strongly through the club’s VFL program as he pushes for a senior debut in 2026.
Jaime Uhr-Henry will look to build upon his first full year in an AFL system, after joining the club as a Category B rookie at the end of 2024.
The 209cm former basketballer holds enormous upside as a long-term prospect for the Hawks.
Hawthorn National Recruiting and List Manager Mark McKenzie was excited about the future ahead for the newly re-signed duo.
“Bodie and Jaime are both making strong progressions in their development and we look forward to seeing them grab this next opportunity with both hands,” McKenzie said.
“Bodie keeps impressing us with his commitment to learn and grow after only being drafted at the end of 2023, and for him to play a vital role in Box Hill’s recent finals series will only add to his development.
“And, as we know Jaime possesses some really unique physical assets with his size and work ethic, coupled with his basketball background, we’re really optimistic about what he can become in the period ahead.”
