Energy Minister Chris Bowen has accused the Queensland government of creating uncertainty for investors which could stall the roll-out of new renewable energy generation after the state outlined a plan that would extend the life of coal-fire power plants for decades.

In his first detailed remarks about the plan unveiled by the Crisafulli government earlier this month, Bowen said he would “prefer the Queensland energy plan was more focused on replacing coal-fired power stations with more renewable energy faster”.
