The post-Origin run began with a close victory against the North Queensland Cowboys in Townsville, with a clutch try-saver from Viliame Kikau helping the side to an important 12-8 victory.
That was followed by an emphatic win over local rivals St George Illawarra, with a Lachlan Galvin special sending rookie winger Jethro Rinakama over for an unforgettable buzzer beater in the dying seconds.
The Bulldogs made it three wins in a row to seal the Club’s 1000th first-grade victory as they celebrated the 30-year anniversary of the 1995 Premiership with a 42-4 demolition of Manly.
