A woman has been charged with murder and arson after a house fire took the lives of a woman and two young children in Gladstone.

Emergency services were called to the Whiting Street property at Toolooa at 6am on October 15, with the two-storey property fully engulfed.

The bodies of Jordana Johnson, 36, her son Jordan Norris, 13, and his friend Chazz Mather, 12, were found inside.

Police declared crime scenes at the house and at Trevally Street.

Police said a 37-year-old woman from Toolooa was charged on Friday with three counts of murder, and two counts of arson.

She is expected to face a bedside court hearing on Friday.

A community gathering will be held at Barney Point Beach this Saturday from 9:30am.

The families have invited friends and community members to pay their respects and lay fresh flowers along the waterline.

An online fundraiser for the families has so far raised more than $30,000.
