Geno Calgaro, a member of the Saint Francis football team, has been named an NEC Prime Performer for his performance against Robert Morris on Saturday. It is the fourth time this season he has earned NEC Prime Performer honors.
Calgaro led the Red Flash with 13 tackles to reach double figures in tackles for the fourth time this season and the first time in four games. The sophomore leads the league with 73 tackles and ranks in the Top-10 in NCAA FCS in the category. With his 13 tackles against the Colonials, Calgaro surpassed his total of 70 tackles from last season.
Calgaro has earned NEC Defensive Player of the Week and NEC Rookie of the Week twice each, to go along with four Prime Performers.
Calgaro leads the team with three Prime Performers this season, while DJ Maultsby, Peyton Nelson, Nick Whitfield Jr., and Brenden Hodge each have one honor in 2025.Â
Saint Francis continues its four-game homestand on Saturday, November 1, against Wagner. Game time is 12 p.m.
