One of the greatest World Series games of all-time has seen the LA Dodgers win an 18-inning epic over the Toronto Blue Jays.
Shohei Ohtani smoking a pair of home runs but did not get to hit in extra innings as he was repeatedly intentionally walked.
Instead it was up to Freddie Freeman who hit the walkoff home run, just like he did in last year’s World Series, in the bottom of the 18th to win it 6-5.

Dodgers homer ends record breaking game! | 00:46
Earlier Ohtani bombed his two shots over the fence at the bottom of the third and seventh innings respectively, with the latter tying the score at 5-5 heading into the eighth.

His home runs made him the first player to ever record three multi-homer games in single MLB post-season.
Additionally, Ohtani is the first player since 1906 with four extra base hits in a World Series game.
He later became the first player in World Series history to reach base seven times, thanks to three intentional walks, before being walked again.
The three-time MVP is currently on a $700 million deal (AU$1 billion) across 10 years.
In the clinching Game 4 of the National League Championship Series, he had three home runs while pitching six shutout innings, arguably the greatest performance in sports history.
In a sour sight for Blue Jays fans just moments earlier in the blockbuster, ALCS Game 7 hero George Springer exited play in the seventh after a swing that saw him immediately grab at his side.
“I feel like he’s being held together with duct tape,” Blue Jays manager John Schneider said of Springer pre-game.
Incredible defence from the Dodgers, both times featuring Tommy Edman, saw Blue Jays runners thrown out in the ninth and 10th innings – the latter at home plate.
Ohtani was intentionally walked in the ninth with the bases empty, due to the Blue Jays’ fear of his hitting, but he was caught trying to steal second after coming off the bag.
The game was tied 5-5 through 10 innings and the Blue Jays were also too scared to pitch to Ohtani in the 11th either, intentionally walking him with two outs.
Mookie Betts hit a single leaving Ohtani on second as the potential winning run but he was checked by the medical staff, running to test his legs with fears of a potential injury, before the next batter flew out to left.
With a pinch-runner on first and no outs in the 12th, the Blue Jays attempted to bunt him over to second. It failed, almost resulting in a double-play.
A groundout advanced the runner to second and the Dodgers gave their own intentional walk to ensure there could be a force-out. It nearly worked as Max Muncy picked up a dribbler at third seemingly in time, before it was overturned on review.
Dodgers great Clayton Kershaw was called into the game with the bases loaded and two outs, and after going to a full count, escaped the jam through a very close groundout.
After a lead-off double from Edman in the bottom of the 13th, he was bunted over to third with one out.
After a pop-up, Ohtani was intentionally walked for a third time – making it seven straight times on base – along with Betts before Freeman flew out.
Neither team could score through the remainder of the extra innings, the Blue Jays nearly running out of pitchers entirely and completely running out of hitters.
