Mike Cannon-Brookes’ efforts to convince investors that Atlassian can stave off artificial intelligence disruption in the software sector will increasingly rely on a fresh roster of US-based executives, after he revealed its chief financial officer is unexpectedly leaving just three months after its president.
Joe Binz had only been Atlassian’s CFO since September 2022, and announced he will retire at the end of next June. Binz’s exit comes just three months after Atlassian president, product guru and CEO-in-waiting Anu Bharadwaj, quit after 12 years.
