Here are the players who were named the Offensive Rookie of the Month and Defensive Rookie of the Month.

No, there probably won’t be any postseason play in New York this year (sorry for the stray, Jets fans), but there is hope at least for one of the premier franchises in the NFL. Dart has been thrown into a difficult situation and has played with no fear through his first month as a starter, making play after play in the face of any defender who tries to bring him down. In his four games over the month of October, he totaled 10 touchdowns and threw for 873 yards, leading the Giants to one of the biggest upsets of the season so far against the Philadelphia Eagles at home in front of the New York faithful.

Although the two other cornerstone offensive players that Dart will lean on in future years, Cam Skattebo and Malik Nabers, are both out for the year, that won’t deter the upbeat quarterback. Regardless of whether the Giants are playing for a chance to get into the Super Bowl or are playing a semi-meaningless game at the end of the season, he’s going to thrive in the chaos and show why he wants to be the face of a franchise that hasn’t had one in quite a long time.

It hasn’t been a good season for the Ravens. Injuries have gone beyond absurdity, and the absence of Lamar Jackson has left Baltimore without an identity. One of the few bright spots, though, has been Buchanan, a fourth-round pick out of the California Golden Bears program. He was a tackling machine in October (with one game uncounted for vs. the Dolphins) with 30 tackles and a half of a sack to boot. If there’s any chance for the Ravens to turn their season around and make a late push for a miracle postseason run, Buchanan will need to be a big part of that and continue his swarming defensive ways.
