JONNY Reid won’t be the only Kiwi former Supercars driver coming out of the woodworks for the Aussie GT season finale this weekend at Hampton Downs.
Reid, who made his Bathurst 1000 debut in 2003 and a decade later had a short-lived full-time stint with Dick Johnson Racing, is sharing an Audi R8 LMS Evo II with Sam Fillmore in GT World Challenge Australia.
Also in the 14-car field will be Ant Pedersen, aboard a Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo with Shane Smollen.
Pedersen made seven main game starts, all in enduros between 2010 and 2015, for a best return of 11th with André Heimgartner in the 2014 Great Race.
On the GT4 side of things, Daniel Gaunt will pop up to partner Tony Quinn in a Toyota Supra.

Gaunt accumulated 30 Supercars Championship races across 2008-13, made up of solo starts for Team Kiwi Racing and Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport plus enduro co-drives for Stone Brothers Racing and Kelly Racing.
As far as outright title equations go, Jaxon Evans/Elliott Schutte are in the box seat in GT World Challenge Australia with a 30-point lead over Broc Feeney/Brad Schumacher; it’s far tighter in GT4 Silver Cup, with Max Geoghegan/Tom Hayman just seven points up on Rylan Gray/George Miedecke.
