WILL Brown has spoken glowingly of his one-off return to the TCR arena.

The 2024 Supercars champion filled in for Josh Buchan at HMO Customer Racing at Zhuzhou in China, where the penultimate round of the 2025 World Tour played out across the weekend.

Brown placed fourth, sixth and fourth in the three races.

“I wish I got a better start,” he said after Race 3.

“I started fourth, dropped back to seventh, passed a few cars, had a lot of fun and got back to fourth – but felt like we should have got a podium today.

“Thanks to everyone at HMO Customer Racing, I had an absolute blast being back in World TCR.

“Also congratulations to my teammate Ryan (MacMillan), he got to sixth which was an awesome result in that last race, especially from where he started.

“Disappointing it’s my only go this year in World TCR but had a blast.”

Brown was a TCR World Tour race winner two years ago at Sydney Motorsport Park and won the category’s inaugural Australian series in 2019.

Buchan, who had a calendar clash which took him to Hampton Downs for GT World Challenge Australia, will return for the World Tour decider at Macau.

Cupra’s Aurélien Comte won the Zhozhou round. The overall title is a two-horse race between Lynk & Co teammates Yann Ehrlacher and Thed Björk, with the former 34 points up.
