3 p.m.: Paul and Davis’ prospective bout appears unlikely to continue in its current configuration. The Ring Magazine’s Mike Coppinger reported that Davis is likely to withdraw from the action amid allegations that Davis assaulted a woman in a strip club in Miami Gardens, Fla. on Oct. 27.

Rumors of potential Davis replacements have already emerged, with Andre Ward, Anthony Joshua and Nate Diaz linked. One person unlikely to take part in the event is Francis Ngannou, who shut down talks of involvement in a clash with Paul during an interview with TMZ Sports.

“I’m like, ‘no bro, come on,'” Ngannou said. “I mean, don’t disrespect me like that.

“The fight makes no sense. That’s what I think, that’s my position.”
