Western Australia draft prospect Jacob Farrow is a 187cm midfielder-defender from West Perth.

The standout performer from Western Australia’s U18s carnival, Farrow rose into first-round conversations thanks to his prolific patch of form for the Black Swans as a dual-position prospect.

Farrow’s frame allows him to be a force at the contest as well as behind the ball, using his strength and physicality to get the better of his direct opponent.

His read of the game is often a springboard for Farrow to get into the best position and make his mark, whether that be as an interceptor or at stoppage.

With ball in hand, the WA draft star is a damaging asset in all three thirds of the field, shaking off pressure and having a profound impact with his long-kicking left foot.

Farrow broke through for three WAFL games for the Falcons this year, showing promise and poise at the senior level to average over 17 disposals and five marks each outing.

That stint was bookended by eye-catching form at the Colts level as a bona fide ball winner who looked a touch above.

As for Farrow’s draft prospects, the WA sensation could sneak into the top 10 bracket, but looks likely to shortly follow that pack instead.

Both WA clubs will be keen, with West Coast best positioned at Pick 13. Hawthorn, GWS, the Western Bulldogs and Adelaide may also be in the mix for Farrow, who could be a Round 1 selection off the back of his maiden pre-season with a top flight club.
