Sunny Kama and Taylan To’a, both products of the Future Titans system, will commence pre-season training with the top squad next week, marking a significant step in their rugby league journeys.
Palm Beach Currumbin graduate Sunny Kama returns to Parkwood after spending time with the Titans during last year’s pre-season.
This time, the Queensland Under 19s representative will be part of the full-season program, continuing his development under head coach Josh Hannay.

Joining Kama is Taylan To’a, a powerful second-rower or centre who graduated from Marsden State High School, another renowned rugby league nursery.
To’a featured in the Titans’ Under 20s squad during the inaugural NRLQ Challenge, a new elite development series launched in 2025 to bridge the gap between junior reps and senior football.
To’a made an immediate impact, scoring a try in the Titans’ Round 1 clash against the Dolphins at Cbus Super Stadium, demonstrating his strength and versatility on the edge.
His elevation to the full-time train-and-trial squad is a testament to the club’s commitment to nurturing local talent through structured pathways like the Future Titans program.

With Kama and To’a now stepping into full-time NRL environments, their stories serve as inspiration for the next generation of Titans hopefuls.
“This is exactly what the Future Titans program is designed to do,” said Titans Head of Pathways and Recruitment Anthony Laffranchi.
“To see Sunny and Taylan earn these opportunities is a proud moment for the club and a testament to the commitment and development of the players and the program.”
