SUPERCARS veteran Jack Perkins and 2026 rookie Zach Bates will race on the Penrite Oil Sandown 500 support card this weekend.
The duo have signed on as guest drivers for the final round of the Toyota GR Cup season.
It’s a role that has been filled by various well-known figures over the various rounds, most recently Warren Luff and Chris Pither on the Gold Coast.

For Perkins, it’s an extension of a racing year that has taken in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, American Trans Am (both in Toyotas) and Repco Supercars Championship enduros with James Courtney at the Blanchard Racing Team.
For Bates, it keeps him behind the wheel between the final two rounds of his Super2 career before he graduates to the main game next year with Matt Stone Racing.
Erebus Academy talent Oliver Wickham leads the GR Cup standings heading into the decider, with Jett Murray – the younger brother of Erebus Supercars racer Cooper – his nearest threat.
