BOSTON – Facing the first of four scheduled Ivy League programs, the Boston University men’s basketball will host Brown Wednesday night with a 7 p.m. start time.

The Terriers started off the year with road split featuring a 76-75 OT win at Northeastern and 76-52 loss at Northwestern, while the Bears went 0-2 at home with losses to Siena (62-46) and Vermont (89-84).

TERRIER TIDBITS


BU posted a 12-4 record at Case Gym last year and is currently riding an 11-game home win streak in regular season play that included a 9-0 record against Patriot League opponents and non-conference victories over UAlbany (80-74 OT) and Thomas College (113-75).
Freshman Sam Hughes leads the Terriers averaging 15.0 points per game while shooting 57.1 percent from behind the arc with junior Michael McNair close behind at 13.0 ppg and 46.2 3FG%. They are a combined 14-of-27 3FG (.519) with the rest of the roster combining for 1-of-24 (.042).
Sophomore Ben Defty is the other Terrier averaging double figures in points at 11.0 ppg while owning five blocks, three steals and 5.0 rpg.
Graduate student Malcolm Chimezie leads the Terriers at the boards averaging 8.5 rpg alongside 5.0 ppg.
The Terriers are currently shooting 63.0 ppg and 39.0 FG% while holding opponents to 75.5 ppg and 47.5 FG%.
After facing the Bears, BU will visit fellow Ivy League schools in Dartmouth and Columbia with a matchup scheduled against Harvard set to tip at Mohegan Sun.

SCOUTING BROWN


The Bears went 14-13 last season with an 8-6 home mark and 6-7 road record with noted non-conference wins at Bryant (76-75), Canisius (83-76) and Vermont (60-53).
The Bears will face one more Patriot League opponent in Holy Cross.
6-foot-8 forward N’famara Dabo is nearly averaging a double-double at 11.0 ppg and 9.5 rpg alongside four blocks, while 6-foot-2 guard Adrian Uchidiuno is averaging 10.0 ppg with 5.5 rpg.
6-foot-0 guard Jeremiah Jenkins is averaging both 7.5 agp and 7.5 ppg.
Overall, Brown is averaging 65.0 ppg and 37.5 FG%, while opponents are being held to 75.0 ppg and 41.1 FG%.

SERIES HISTORY


Brown leads the all-time series, 25-12, after winning the last meeting in 1993 at home, 63-60.
BU hosted the previous three meetings in 1967, 1970 and 1992 with the Terriers posting a 72-69 victory in 1970.

LOOKING AHEAD


The Terriers will conclude the homestand by hosting Merrimack on Saturday (Nov. 15) at 1 p.m.
BU leads the all-time series, 10-1, after the Warriors held on for a 64-61 victory at home last year.
BU is 7-0 all-time on campus, last earning a 74-63 victory in 2023.
