Are you ready to embrace the digital age but unsure where to start? The Digital Employment Academy is here to help — and best of all, it’s completely free!

In partnership with Fermanagh and Omagh District Council’s Labour Market Partnership, Fastrack into Information Technology (FIT) is now accepting applications for a fully funded Digital Skills Training Programme. Designed especially for beginners, this programme equips you with the essential digital skills needed to succeed in today’s fast-changing job market.

Funded by the Department for Communities, Labour Market Partnerships create targeted employment action plans for council areas, allowing for collaboration at local and regional level to support people towards and into work.

If you live in the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council area and are currently unemployed, looking to re-enter the workforce, or simply want to build your digital confidence — this Academy is your perfect first step. No prior experience needed — just a willingness to learn!

Gain practical, hands-on training in key digital areas, including:
· Microsoft Office Essentials – Build confidence using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
· Introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI) – Understand how AI is shaping modern workplaces
· Digital Safety & Cybersecurity – Learn how to stay safe online
· Remote & Hybrid Working Tools – Get comfortable using Microsoft Teams and Zoom
· Personal Branding & Career Skills – Improve your confidence, communication, and job-readiness

Participants will also benefit from personalised career support, including one-to-one mentoring, employability workshops, and direct pathways to digital employment opportunities.

Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Cllr Barry McElduff, said,
