The Princess of Wales is marking a small milestone with her annual Christmas carol service returning in December for it’s fifth year.

Kate‘s beloved project, which has seen the royal mum surprise everyone with her piano playing skills in the past, will take place on December 5 at Westminster Abbey, Kensington Palace confirmed on Thursday.

And this year, Kate’s teaming up with another Kate – Hollywood A-lister Kate Winslet, among a number of celebrities supporting the cause.

It’s not Winslet’s first royal call-up, having recently become and ambassador for The King’s Foundation.

The Oscar-winner is set to voice the new documentary Finding Harmony: A King’s Vision as part of her role.

Other actors joining Winslet in taking part and doing a reading will include Hannah Waddingham, Dan Smith and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

While the full list of musical acts for the evening are yet to be announced there will be a nod to the late Duchess of Kent, who died in September at the age of 92.

Before the service, youngsters from Future Talent will perform. It’s a charity for musically-gifted children from low-income backgrounds that the late royal supported.

Together at Christmas will again air on UK TV on Christmas Eve and this year’s theme will “celebrate love in all its forms”.

“Westminster Abbey will be filled with 1600 people connected to the theme of love,” the palace announcement said.

This will include people who “may have dedicated or volunteered their time to be present with others, fronted initiatives that bring people in their community together, or shown kindness and empathy to those around them”.

The Princess of Wales kicked off the Together at Christmas initiative in 2020 as a way to give thanks to frontline workers following the start of the pandemic.

Each year since then, the event has grown with bigger names attending, along with extended members of the royal family all showing their support.
