On Summer Grandstand – former Australian fast bowler Jason Gillespie has told Corbin Middlemas and Ben Cameron that Joe Root will prove his greatness with three centuries in this forthcoming Ashes series. 

He says Brendan Doggett is deserving of his place in the Aussie line up while admitting England has worries with their bowling with Mark Wood and Jofra Archer unlikely to play many Tests together. 

He also dismissed concerns for the form of Travis Head saying the South Australian left-hander will end up Australia’s leading run-scorer in the series.Â
