West Australia’s first UFC champion Jack Della Maddalena will step into the most famous arena in the world to defend his welterweight title against Islam Makhachev at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Della Maddalena (18-2) is looking to take down one of the modern day greats in Makhachev (27-1) who has vacated his lightweight title to come up a division.
It is being touted as the fight of the year, with both men bringing contrasting styles to the octagon in a big match-up.
