Team Belgium notched a 2–0 victory over Team France Tuesday (18 November) at tennis2025 Davis Cup Final 8 in Bologna, Italy.

The win for Belgium in the quarterfinals improves their record against France to 4–6 in the event, which has a history of more than a century.

In the day’s first match, Belgium’s Raphael Collignon earned a comeback win, seeing off Corentin Moutet 2–6, 7–5, 7–5.

It was a close battle after Moutet claimed the first set, with both the second and third sets going to five games all before Collignon ultimately broke the Frenchman for each set and the match.

In the quarterfinal between France’s Arthur Rinderknech and Belgium’s Zizou Bergs, Bergs struck first, breaking early for a 3–1 lead that would carry him to the first set. In the second set, the Belgian served for the set up a break at 5–4, but couldn’t seal the win there.

Back on serve, the second set would ultimately be determined by a tie-break that Bergs won 7–4 for the match.

Competition in Bologna continues Wednesday (19 November) with quarterfinal action between Austria and Italy set for 16:00 local time.
