Jayden Campbell has emerged as a potential first marquee signing for the Perth Bears, with the expansion club tabling a monster offer for the Titans playmaker.
According to The Sydney Morning Herald, the league’s newest team have offered the second-generation star a deal worth $6 million over five seasons.
Campbell is currently off-contract with Gold Coast at the end of next year, which means he is free and available to negotiate or sign with the Bears – or any other club.

The 25-year-old son of Preston Campbell has shown his versatility early in his career, playing multiple positions in the spine before finally seeming to settle at halfback.
The potential contract on offer at the Bears would make him one of the game’s highest-paid players and it’s believed the Titans will not match that figure.

It would be another huge blow early in Josh Hannay’s tenure as coach, with David Fifita already departing Gold Coast and captain Tino Fa’asuamaleaui possibly joining suit.
Ad for the Bears, it’s no surprise to see Mal Meninga and company desperate to land a big-name signing for their inaugural 2027 season after the likes of Cameron Munster, Harry Grant and Josh Addo-Carr all opted to extend their tenures at their current clubs.
The Herald reports that those close to Campbell see the deal as too good to refuse and believe the 2026 season will be his last at the Titans.
Campbell had also been linked to the Eels and Dragons earlier in the free agency period.
