Ian Machado Garry ($8,800)
Ian Machado Garry enters this fight with a 16-1 record while being 9-1 in the UFC. Garry’s nickname is “The Future,” but he will be the present if he can defeat former champion Belal Muhammad on Saturday. Garry is coming off a performance of 109.1 fantasy points against Carlos Prates.
In the UFC, Garry has recorded at least 85 points in six of his 10 fights inside the Octagon. The former title holder, Muhammad, lost his last fight to Jack Della Maddalena. In this contest, Garry has the height (6’3″ vs. 5’11”) and reach (74″ vs. 72″) advantages.
Even though Muhammad is slightly better on the ground, it would be surprising if he got the best of Garry in that area. That is because Garry has improved his ground game tremendously in the last few years and has expanded his arsenal. Garry has had at least 85 points in six of his 10 contests in the UFC. Garry should be able to control the pace of this contest, given his height advantage and elite striking ability.
Kyoji Horiguchi ($7,600)
Kyoji Horiguchi went 7-1 in the UFC from 2013 to 2016 and is making his UFC return on Saturday. Horiguchi has been away from the UFC for nine years, but he competed in two of the best MMA organizations, Bellator and Rizin, during that time. Horiguchi is a former Bellator and Rizin champion and is a former UFC title challenger. Horiguchi, 35, is currently on a six-fight unbeaten streak with his last loss coming in 2022. This is Horiguchi’s first fight since New Year’s Eve in 2024.
He is facing Tagir Ulanbekov, who is 17-2 and is riding a four-fight winning streak. Horiguchi returns to the UFC as a much more experienced fighter, having been only 26 when he left the promotion. Ulanbekov is taller (5’7″ vs. 5’4″) with a larger standing reach (70″ vs. 63″), but Horiguchi is accustomed to that.
In Horiguchi’s final two fights in the UFC in 2016, he was an excellent fantasy performer, finishing with 121.5 and 92.2 fantasy points. Horiguchi returns to the UFC with a ton of additional experience and has the skills required to pull off the upset and be an elite fantasy contributor.
Dan Hooker ($6,700)
Dan Hooker enters his first UFC Main Event since 2020 and is attempting to win his fourth consecutive fight for the first time since 2018. This is Hooker’s first fight since August 2024, as he was recovering from a broken hand. Hooker is facing Arman Tsarukyan, who is also coming off a long layoff, having last fought in April 2024.
Although Hooker is a +440 underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook, this fight is a lot closer than the odds suggest. First, Hooker is taller (6’0″ vs. 5’7″) with the reach advantage (75″ vs. 72″). Hooker is also a much better striker on the feet than Tsarukyan is. Tsarukyan’s best skills are on the ground, but he could face problems against Hooker, who has an elite 78 percent takedown defense.
Hooker has totaled 97-plus fantasy points in two of his last three contests. He has also recorded at least 85 points in eight of his last 10 victories in the UFC. Even though Hooker is facing a tough opponent in Tsarukyan, he still can provide your lineup with a ton of value, especially since he is only $6,700.
