Some cast members from Everybody Loves Raymond have come back together in a US TV special to mark the 30th anniversary of the show’s launch in 1996.

Ray Romano was joined by his on-screen wife Patricia Heaton, 65, TV brother and sister-in-law Brad Garrett and Monica Horan, 62.

But perhaps the most unrecognisable in the cast were the children – with three real-life siblings starring in the roles of their TV family.

Madylin Sweeten played Ray and Debra Barone’s daughter Ally and was just five years old when she first appeared on the show.

Her brothers Sullivan and Sawyer Sweeten were just 16 months old when they appeared on screen as the twin boys

Madylin, 34, and Sullivan, 30, were both part of the reunion but tragically Sawyer wasn’t there – he died in 2019 by suicide, aged just 19.

There are other members of the cast no longer alive to see the day as well.

Ray’s parents in the show, Frank and Marie Barone, were played by acting stalwarts Peter Boyle and Doris Roberts, who died in 2006 and 2016 respectively.

The surviving cast members are set to pay tribute to those they’ve lost during the TV special, which airs in the US on Monday (Tuesday AEDT).

Fans got a glimpse of what they were in for with the TV special when Romano, 67, and Garrett, 65, presented an award together during the Emmy Awards in September.

The popular sitcom ran for 10 years before wrapping up in 2005 with 15 prime-time Emmys under its belt.

While there have been rumours and hopes for a reboot of the family-inspired comedy series, it appears the cast has opted to go down the route of the much-loved Friends reunion special, which aired in 2021.
