Jayden Campbell has rejected a reported $6 million, five-year deal with the Perth Bears to re-sign with the Gold Coast Titans.
The second-generation star has signed a multi-year contract extension, locking him in as a Titan until the end of the 2031 season, the club confirmed on Friday evening.
As the son of Titans life member and inaugural signing, Preston Campbell OAM, Campbell’s re-signing ensures the family legacy will continue on the Gold Coast.

Earlier this week, Campbell emerged as a major recruitment target for the Perth Bears, with the expansion club reportedly tabling a massive, multi-million dollar offer for the playmaker.
According to The Sydney Morning Herald, the contract offered by Bears would have positioned Campbell among the competition’s highest earners — a payday he ultimately chose to forgo.
Since making his debut in 2021, Campbell has established himself as a fan favourite and one of the Gold Coast’s most exciting attacking prospects.
Now 78 games into his NRL career and entering his sixth season, the 25-year-old has shown his versatility, successfully transitioning from fullback into the halves over the past two seasons and seemingly settling at halfback.
Campbell’s stellar form last season also earned him representative honours with the Prime Minister’s XIII.
He was also invited to train with Queensland, where he worked alongside incoming Titans coach Josh Hannay to assist with the Maroons’ Origin preparations.

Linked to several clubs earlier in the free agency period, Campbell’s decision to stay is rooted in loyalty, family and the explicit goal of achieving premiership success with his beloved Titans.
The new deal also reiterates the Titans’ commitment to long-term stability and building a roster grounded in homegrown talent.
Campbell joins a stacked core of players secured for the future, including fellow spine talents Keano Kini and AJ Brimson — who are both locked in until 2030 — and dynamic edge forward Beau Fermor, who recently secured his future on Thursday.
“The Titans mean everything to me. They’ve done a lot for me and my family, and I’m stoked to extend my time here for another five years,” Campbell said in a club statement.
“I absolutely love this club and always have since 2007, so I’m honoured to be able to keep playing for the fans who have backed me and my family since day one.
“Staying close to my family and friends and getting to play for my hometown is another big reason why I wanted to extend my time here on the Gold Coast, and I’m really excited about what we’re building under Josh.
“Our community deserves success, and I want to be part of the team that creates history and brings the first premiership to the Coast.”
Highlighting the significance of the deal, Hannay stressed that Campbell’s commitment is vital to the club’s premiership aspirations.
“Jayden is a generational talent and a huge part of where we’re heading,” he said.
“What makes him special isn’t just his ability to break open a game in an instant, but his competitiveness, maturity and his deep connection to the Gold Coast through his family legacy.
“We want to build a team that is a premiership contender for years to come, and Jayden is central to that vision.
“I’m stoked he has that desire too and elated he’ll remain a Titan long-term.”
