SANDOWN saw Bryce Fullwood recapture his mid-season form to issue a timely reminder of what will be missing from the full-time Supercars grid next year.

Fullwood’s run of six full-time seasons is coming to an end, having lost his seat in the #14 entry to Cameron Hill.

Where he lands in the enduro co-driver market remains to be seen – but don’t rule out him potentially sticking with BJR to partner André Heimgartner in the #8 R&J Batteries Supra at The Bend 500 and Bathurst 1000.

Either way, Fullwood was back on-song last weekend at Sandown where he converted starts of eighth and 10th into finishes of ninth and eighth – his first top 10 results in four months.

The Sunday eighth came even after he spun at Turn 3 and slapped the fence.

“It would have been nice to have done a little bit of a better job and converted a better race… I was in fifth, or something similar before a mistake, but ended up eighth which I’m still happy with that,” he said.

“A solid weekend finishing within in the top 10 in all the sessions from Saturday onwards, which was really exciting.

“I’m looking forward to the last round.”

It will be game on in Adelaide as Heimgartner and Fullwood strive to keep BJR ahead of Dick Johnson Racing in the battle for sixth in the teams’ championship.

BJR will take a slender 14-point lead over DJR into the three-race weekend.
