First-year player Charlie West has signed on to remain a Pie for a further two years.

West, who was already contracted for 2026, has extended his commitment to remain in the black and white until at least the end of 2028.

The recruit played an instrumental role in the VFL this year, with a standout performance against Sandringham, totalling 14 disposals and kicking six goals, including the winner after the siren.

Drafted at pick 50 in the 2024 National Draft, he made his AFL debut in Round 16 with a win against the West Coast Eagles.

Unfortunately, the young talent’s season was cut short after sustaining a foot injury, sidelining him for the remainder of the season.

General Manager of List and Talent Strategy Justin Leppitsch said the Club was excited to sign on the young talent.

“Charlie has been an exciting addition to our program this season, and we are delighted to see him remain at Collingwood,” Leppitsch said.

“After a consistently strong season in the VFL, he earned his debut at AFL level and has continued to demonstrate the kind of composure and talent we value so highly.

“We commend Charlie for navigating his rehab with maturity and grit, and we look forward to his return to the field next season.”
