Never mind the creepy crawlies, giant hail and destructive winds were enough to halt production of UK reality show.
Those storms keep hitting.
The British I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! were evacuated from their jungle camp Northern NSW.
The celebrities were moved from camp site in Dungay New South Wales, on Monday afternoon, after the Bureau of Meteorology issued a warning for storms that could produce “giant hail and destructive winds” in southeast Queensland and northeast New South Wales.
“Our health and safety weather contingencies kicked in, and we evacuated the celebrities immediately to the Bush Telegraph until the storm passed and it was safe to return to camp,” a production source advised.
The contestants on this year’s edition include podcaster Vogue Williams, rapper Aitch, comedian Ruby Wax, reality TV star Jack Osbourne, Spandau Ballet’s Martin Kemp, model Kelly Brook, Emmerdale star Lisa Riley, former EastEnders actress Shona McGarty, comedian Eddie Kadi, sports broadcaster Alex Scott, social media star Morgan Burtwistle, who is known as Angryginge, and Celebs Go Dating receptionist Tom Read Wilson.
The storms follow havoc hitting 10’s Big Brother set on the Gold Coast on Sunday.
Meanwhile production on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! for Australia is imminent, with filming about to get underway in South Africa.
