It makes sense for Oregon to be rewarded for its win over a then-top-15 team, but how does the Ducks’ resume compare with those of Georgia (10-1 with wins over Ole Miss and Texas), Texas Tech (10-1 with wins over BYU and Utah) and Ole Miss (10-1 with wins over Oklahoma and Tulane)?
Georgia and Ole Miss’s lone losses, like Oregon’s, came against other top-10 teams. Texas Tech’s loss came without starting quarterback Behren Morton.
