EastEnders’ Vicki Fowler has found an unexpected source of support as she continues to deal with the aftermath of Joel’s attack and the end of her relationship with his father Ross Marshall. Vicki has been struggling mentally since she was attacked by Joel and last week found herself spiralling after learning the teen was pleading not guilty.

This led Vicki to get into a confrontation with Chelsea Fox’s date Damon in the Queen Vic, after finding out he was married and had been ordering Chelsea triple vodkas when she’d asked for singles.

Later Vicki found Damon in the laundrette and ended up shoving him, causing him to fall over and hit his head after he’d talked down to her.

In a panic, Vicki rang Zack who came to her aid and managed to convince Damon not to take things any further or else he’d expose his cheating to his wife.

Vicki and Zack later shared a passionate kiss before they were interrupted by Kathy, who warned them that Sharon wouldn’t be happy if she found out.

Meanwhile, Ross has been trying to win Vicki back and remind her of how happy they used to be together.

On Monday’s episode Vicki was feeling reflective over her relationship with Ross, on what would have been their three-year anniversary.

She went to Harry’s Barn for a drink but quickly got angry when she saw Chelsea flirt with the male customers. When Chelsea explained she was nice to the men so they don’t target the female customers, Vicki apologised for what had happened with Damon last week.

Chelsea then opened up to Vicki about her marriage to Gray Atkins, who was later found out to have murdered his first wife Chantelle.

On tonight’s episode (Tuesday, 25 November) the pair continued to bond with Vicki telling Chelsea how she fell for Ross after seeing him line-dancing.

As she was demonstrating her moves, Ross appeared, with Vicki telling him that every time she sees him she just thinks of Joel again.

Vicki was then about to leave but Chelsea pursued her to stay and have a drink with Ross. The pair were soon laughing again, with Ross admitting that he loves Vicki and they don’t work without each other.

But Vicki was still unwilling to fully accept his apology, saying he should never have paid off the family of Joel’s victim in Australia.

Later Chelsea called at Vicki’s to check on her after seeing her smiling while talking to Ross. The pair had another heart-to-heart, with Vicki revealing her family history and sharing that her father Den did terrible things and it makes her think it may just be men’s nature.

However Chelsea disagreed, saying she believes most men just want a happy family life. Vicki then shared she’d invited Ross to come over and have a beer with her.

Ross then called round when Vicki was upstairs and met Chelsea at the door. Chelsea told him it was a mistake for him to be there and it was all too soon for Vicki.

When Vicki came downstairs Chelsea told her Ross had to leave but Vicki knew she’d convinced him to go, agreeing the timing wasn’t right.

EastEnders airs on Mondays – Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
