Coronation Street spoilers follow from Wednesday’s episode (26 November), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn’t yet aired on ITV1.

Coronation Street villain Theo Silverton targets another of Todd Grimshaw’s close friendships tonight – determined to totally isolate him. Secretly fuming after being challenged by Sarah Barlow, ruthless Theo returns to his old tricks.

Theo is currently keeping Todd in the dark over the extent of his working relationship with Pete – having previously cheated on his partner with the charming newcomer. His deception doesn’t last for long, though, as Sarah is already on the case.

In tonight’s episode, Sarah spots Theo and Pete looking pally in a van together and demands to know what they’re up to – especially as Todd believes they’re not currently working on any projects together.

Theo explains that he was planning to surprise Todd with the news that he and Pete have signed a new contract, but the dispute escalates when Pete tactlessly compares Sarah to an “attack dog”.

Todd’s mortified to see Sarah standing up for him – well aware that this won’t go down well with Theo. He drags Sarah away, hoping to avoid any further escalation.

Later, Theo turns on the charm as he takes Sarah out for a drink, wanting to get in her good books.

Sarah confesses that she wasn’t sure about Theo and Todd’s relationship at first, but is now fully on board.

That evening, Theo seizes on this remark to manipulate Todd and suggests that it’s time to cut Sarah out of his life.

“Does she stir the pot with everyone, or is it just you?” Theo spitefully asks. “[She said] she was disapproving of us when we first got together.

“I’ve met people like her before. They’re toxic. You probably couldn’t see it because you’re two peas in a pod. Apparently you were a right little conniving so-and-so – and she’s the same.

“If you ask me – you wanna get rid, really. Because I’ll tell you now, nothing good comes from having people like that in your life.”

After already convincing Todd to turn his back on Billy Mayhew, George Shuttleworth and Christina Boyd, will Theo’s nasty plans pay off once again?
