The company removes a post teasing a device described as “the future of wearables”

Garmin has ignited fresh speculation about a new wearable by posting—and then deleting—a cryptic image on its Garmin India Facebook page.

The image, accompanied by the captions “future of wearables is almost here” and “coming sooner than you think,” suggests a new product is due before the end of the year.

The device shown strongly resembles the recently launched Venu 4 and Venu X1, as it clearly features an LED flashlight (in both white and red modes) on a slim watch case.

Still, given that these devices are already available in India, it wouldn’t make sense for this to be related to a later regional rollout.

Why a Whoop alternative makes the most sense

The brand has been incredibly proactive in refreshing its watch lineup in 2025, with virtually no existing lines in line for a refresh (except, perhaps an entry-level running watch).

Yet, with the taglines for this teaser namechecking “wearables” and not watches, specifically, it feels much more likely we could be on the cusp of an entirely new category here from Garmin.

A smart ring doesn’t make sense, given the LED teaser, though a screenless wearable—like the Amazfit Helio Strap or Whoop 5.0—is perfectly feasible.

After all, we got an initial glimpse of the brand’s appetite for this form factor a few months ago with the Garmin Index Sleep Monitor launch.

Whatever the case, we likely won’t have long to wait. The pulled teaser suggests the full identity of this one will be revealed soon, and we’d hazard a guess that CES 2026 in early January will be the timing for the official announcement. Stay tuned for more in the meantime.
