Celebrity MasterChef has confused viewers this week when former Love Island star Chris Hughes mentioned that he was currently single, despite a highly-publicised relationship with JoJo Siwa. So are they still together or not?
Chris and JoJo both took part in this year’s Celebrity Big Brother in April, where they formed a strong bond. JoJo dumped then-partner Kath Ebbs at the wrap party, and the duo confirmed their relationship shortly afterwards.
In the Celebrity MasterChef episode that aired this week, Chris complained that he been single for a long time and had no-one else to cook for.
That scene left fans scratching their heads, with multiple people asking on social media if the show had been recorded before Celebrity Big Brother.
The simple answer is yes. It was filmed earlier this year, shortly after Grace Dent was announced to be replacing Gregg Wallace (but before John Torode had been sacked). The show could have edited it out to avoid confusion, but did not.

As for whether Chris and JoJo are still together, the answer is also yes.
Just yesterday, JoJo shared a series of Instagram Stories celebrating what they considered their official six-month anniversary. “Wouldn’t trade one day for anything,” she wrote in one caption.
And over a week ago, the ‘Karma’ singer shared a festive photoshoot of the couple on her page and revealed that she was planning to celebrate Christmas with her family a week early so that she can spend the big day in England.
Chris also celebrated six months together with a Story, calling JoJo his “chess partner” and sharing a photo of her sitting at a chess board.

This week’s episode of Celebrity MasterChef saw the group – Chris, Liberty X’s Michelle Heaton, Hollyoaks’ Jamie Lomax and writer Dawn O’Porter – split into duos and tasked with making identical desserts while working on separate benches.
The episode – which featured an appearance from last year’s winner and Strictly Come Dancing pro Vito Coppola – saw Michelle eliminated from the competition, while the other three advanced to the semi-final.
Celebrity MasterChef continues next week on BBC One and streams on iPlayer.
