South Australian Blake Oudshoorn-Bennier has won a training gig with Port Adelaide during the Supplemental Selection Period.

The teenager was one of the best-rated draft hopefuls to be overlooked at last month’s intake, having enjoyed a strong run with South Australia in the state’s undefeated U18s National Championships carnival.

Oudshoorn-Bennier also captained North Adelaide’s U18s, with his leadership qualities, disposal use and decision making among his best traits.

The 18-year-old played to senior SANFL games for the Roosters in 2025, averaging 13.0 disposals, 3.5 tackles and 3.0 inside 50s each outing.

The Modbury native’s hopes of securing an AFL list spot remain alive for 2026, with Oudshoorn-Bennier to join SA U18s teammate Balyn O’Brien, East Fremantle talent Mitch Zadow and former Collingwood and North Melbourne forward Jaidyn Stephenson in training under Josh Carr this summer.

All four players offer differing roles and strengths for the Power to consider, with O’Brien a lockdown defender and Zadow a lively goal threat, while Stephenson brings top flight experience.

The SSP will run through to February 20, with the Power having a pair of open list spots to fill for their 2026 squad.

That comes after the club passed on making a selection at the AFL Draft, and recruited mature-aged midfield-forward Jack Watkins via the Rookie Draft.

Port Adelaide opted to promote quartet Logan Evans, Harrison Ramm, Tom Cochrane and Josh Lai to its primary list to meet the AFL’s draft quota.
