Re-Brand In Hand: Birthing EuroAsia
During the ordinary Board of Directors Meeting held within the framework of the 63rd annual WBC Convention in Bangkok, the CISBB announced the rebranding of this Federation into WBC EuroAsia with Mr. Gafur Rakhimov from Uzbekistan being unanimously elected as President. He possesses the experience and wisdom to guide the future.
The new era combining two mighty continents, will start in the region with many thrilling projects and initiatives under the WBC leadership.
The title of CISBB will be transformed into WBC EuroAsia title.
Mr. Rakhimov was warmly welcomed by the WBC board of directors, as he joined the family as WBC supreme council member back in 2023.
WBC President Mr. Mauricio Sulaiman has expressed gratitude for the loyal support and cooperation by Uzbekistan’s boxing father.
Uzbekistan joined WBC just a little more than two years ago and already held a WBC Convention and now the cooperation has risen to a different level. That Convention showcased his passion, commitment and superb organizational skills plus capabilities.
Mr. Rakhimov in his speech recalled his friendly and close relations with the WBC Eternal President Jose Sulaiman. The Father of Modern Boxing.
