Port Adelaide have announced four players have tentatively joined their squad as part of the annual Supplemental Selection Period (SSP).

The quartet is headlined by former top 10 draft pick and 2018 Rising Star winner Jaidyn Stephenson. Stephenson played 122 games in stints with Collingwood and North Melbourne before retiring at the conclusion of the 2024 season.

The 26-year-old spent 2025 playing local football in Ferntree Gully, where he claimed best and fairest and leading goalkicker honours. Stephenson has crossed the border in hopes of resurrecting an AFL career that once held significant promise.

Joining Stephenson are Mitch Zadow, Balyn O’Brien, and Blake Oudshoorn-Bennier.

Zadow has most recently excelled at WAFL level for East Fremantle. The mature-aged goalsneak featured at the level 21 times in the last two seasons, and finished his 2025 season with a bang, registering a dozen majors in his final six matches.

O’Brien and Oudshoorn-Bennier were integral parts of South Australia’s under-18s side this season. That side was rampant, going undefeated en route to championship glory. Both young men played in all possible fixtures for the side.

O’Brien played six games for Norwood in the SANFL this year, with his lockdown defensive style providing headaches for opposing forwards.

Oudshoorn-Bennier presents as a well-rounded midfielder, averaging 26 disposals, four tackles and four clearances in the under-18s for North Adelaide this year, enough to see him named joint winner of the McCallum-Tomkins Medal as the league’s best and fairest.

The four players tentatively join the Power’s program in a period of significant change at Alberton, as Josh Carr takes charge in earnest, and his newly-assembled panel of assistants take the places of Ken Hinkley’s lieutenants.

The SSP runs until February 20th.
