Emmerdale spoilers follow from Wednesday’s episode (3 December), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn’t yet aired on ITV1.
Emmerdale puts a target on Bear Wolf’s back tonight as Celia Daniels finally discovers his link to the village. With the future of her entire criminal operation now under threat, Celia isn’t happy – and could be more dangerous than ever.
Wednesday’s episode sees the walls start to close in on Celia, following Dylan Penders’ discovery that Paddy Dingle’s missing dad is carrying out forced labour on the farm.
Although Dylan hasn’t met Bear in person before, he recognises him from photos which are dotted around Paddy and Mandy’s house. This makes him perfectly placed to cut through Ray Walters’ lies and manipulation, if brainwashed Bear is prepared to listen.
Ray has tricked Bear into believing that his family don’t care about his mysterious disappearance. This week, Ray even claimed that he’d taken a look at Bear’s confiscated phone and his family hadn’t been in touch once.

This deterred Bear from his desire to make contact with his loved ones to reassure them over his fate.
However, when Dylan tries to reason with Bear tonight, he contradicts Ray’s lies by telling him: “Your family miss you.”
Dylan decides that it’s best to keep quiet about his discovery, not letting Celia or Ray know that Bear used to live nearby in the village.
Sadly, when Celia later insists on accompanying Dylan to Paddy and Mandy’s place, she spots one of the photos showing Bear – and her mind starts whirring.

In a tense showdown with Ray, cruel Celia berates him for unwittingly bringing a local man into their operation.
“First rule of recruitment – no locals,” Celia rants. “This could bring down our entire operation. Every time I give you an ounce of responsibility, it comes back to haunt me.”
Ray tries to protest that Bear was miles away from the village when they first crossed paths, but short-tempered Celia shows no mercy.
With Bear’s presence now posing such a threat, what will Ray and Celia do next?
Emmerdale is working on Bear’s storyline alongside The Salvation Army and Unseen. Further help, support and resources relating to the issue of modern slavery are available on the charities’ websites.
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
