There are only five weeks left in the regular season. As Week 14 begins, the Dallas Cowboys will go on the road to face the Detroit Lions for “Thursday Night Football.”
Both of these teams played on Thanksgiving. The Lions were upset by the Green Bay Packers, while the Cowboys held strong at home and beat the Kansas City Chiefs.
Dallas enters Week 14 with a 6-5-1 record. The Cowboys sit in second place in the NFC East and trail the Philadelphia Eagles by two games. If the playoffs started today, Dallas would be on the outside looking in. Only seven teams will make the NFC’s playoff bracket, and the Cowboys are currently the No. 9 team in the NFC.
The Lions’ loss to the Packers hurt their playoff standing. Detroit is now also outside the NFC’s playoff picture. The Lions had a chance to head into Week 14 atop the NFC North, but instead they sit in third behind the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers. Detroit has a 7-5 record, trailing the Bears by one game, putting a lot of importance on each of the Lions’ remaining games.

6:46 p.m. — One of the biggest storylines of the game has been whether or not star Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown will be able to suit up. He missed nearly all of Detroit’s Week 13 loss to the Green Bay Packers due to an ankle injury.
While it was assumed that he would need another week, the wide receiver went through workouts and gave ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler a thumbs up running off the field when asked if he was going to play.
6:35 p.m. — The Cowboys will be wearing dark navy jerseys. Dallas will be in white pants and silver helmets.

5:45 p.m. — The Lions are coming off a loss. While many would worry about how they will respond, Detroit usually likes being able to adjust after a loss. Since 2022, the Lions are 14-0 after a loss.
5:15 p.m. — Kickoff isn’t for about three hours. Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott is already walking the field. He isn’t in uniform quite yet, but talked to Jane Slater about the last time the Cowboys were in Detroit. The quarterback said, “we lit them up, lot of passing yards. about to do it again.”
Just asked Dak Prescott what he remembers from the last one here “that we lit them up. Lot of passing yards. About to do it again”
I asked can I quote you on that “sure” with a confident smile #Cowboys pic.twitter.com/XS0nw3OdNc
